Clairo - Sexy to Someone Review

Clairo released a new single yesterday and I am loving it. I haven’t been keeping up with news of her and I was excited to see she released something new. “Sexy to Someone” comes three years after her second full-length album, Sing (2021).

This song sounds sort of like her first album, Immunity(2019) mixed with a 70s-inspired psychedelic folk sound. The drum snare sounds so compressed and has such a tight, boxy sound. The flute-like synths are my favorite part of the song because they give off such a nostalgic feeling. I like Clairo’s nonchalant voice since it works well with the instrumentals, especially her psychedelic vocal melody.

I wasn’t even expecting new Clairo, but this is a great song that has me excited for her upcoming album on July 12.
